Maybelline Super Stay 14hr Lipstick - My thoughts.

So it's 11pm and I'm in bed watching my Sex and the City box set, which by the way is thee best box set in the world, this has got to be the 10th time I've watched the whole box set from start to finish - just a lal addicted. I think it's the whole, New York, Romance, Best friends thing about the DVD that make's me keep coming back for more! Who wouldn't wanna live in New York City, have their very own Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda?! and find their own Big - not thee most perfect romance but hey they got there in the end, all that matters really!

This isn't a Sex and the City review so I'll shut up about that and get onto the important stuff, LIIIIIIPPSTTTIIICCCKKK!!!!!!! Oh how I love lipstick, I'm a bold lip kinda gal, nothing excites me more than a bright red so when I saw the amazing colour + 14hr I just couldn't help myself.

The first thing I have to talk about is the colour of this lipstick, it's amazing, it's the most beautiful red with a slight coral colour to it. It's extremely pigmented so what you see is what you get, as you can see from the swatch below! I bought 510 Non-stop Red from Superdrug for £6.99 - average price for a high street lippy I'd say.

The formula of this lipstick I have to admit isn't the best, It's really dry but you can't really expect anything too creamy from a 14hr lipstick. Although it's dry it's easy to work with as long as you moisturise your lips before putting it on. It's extremely matte which I personally love, and it does last for ever! I have tested this lippy on a few nights out and it ruddy stays, this lipstick ain't going any where fast, once it's on and dry you can kiss as many boys as you like and it will still be on (No I didn't test it out in that way but I'm sure it will) I drank, plenty with this on - didn't move an inch! Also on night's out I find myself going to the toilet and being horrified to find my lipstick on my nose, up my cheek, smeared all over my face - attractive I know but with this little beauty I didn't have that problem, bonus.

So if your looking for a new lipstick that you want to stay where you put it and has a matte finish then this is the lipstick for you. I'm not sure on what other colours Maybelline have to offer in this 14hr range but I'm sure you'll find a colour for you, if not be brave and try out this Non-stop Red, I dare you ;)

Have you tried Maybelline Super Stay 14hr lipstick?
